Event review
More than 1500 delegates and visitors descended up on Westminster on 21-23 October 2008 for the Biometrics 2008 Conference and Exhibition.

In an innovative and forward-thinking programme, more than 50 top international speakers revealed how biometric technology such as fingerprint, facial and iris recognition is being used to identify individuals – from large-scale government projects such as the national ID card scheme, law enforcement and border control to physical and logical access control in the workplace. The programme featured numerous case studies from around the world, reviewed results from the latest trials and tests and explored topical concerns such as identity management and privacy issues. The 3-day conference was supported by a large exhibition with more than 50 exhibitors showcasing the latest products and solutions.

Biometrics 2008 was organized by Elsevier in association with Biometric Technology Today and InfoSecurity Magazine. The 2009 event will take place at the QEII Centre in Westminster, 20-22 October 2009. Full details will be available at www.biometrics2009.com
